Specification-led model comparison
Meaco Arete Two: 10L, 12L, 20L or 25L?
Choose a comparison starting point from the job you need to finish, then inspect extraction, wattage, noise, airflow and an equal-hours cost scenario.
Your use case
Start with the work, not the model number.
We use the same current manufacturer condition for all four models, then show why a larger chassis may—or may not—be worth comparing.
Comparison starting point
Start with the 12L.
Also compare the 20L before buying. The result narrows a shortlist; it does not certify that one appliance can solve damp or serve every room simultaneously.
- The smaller chassis is a credible starting point for a flat or one-to-two-bedroom home.
- Regular indoor laundry moves the comparison up because airflow and recovery time matter as well as headline wattage.
- Published extraction
- 8.50 L/day
- Published input
- 207 W
- Equal-hours week

- Tank
- 4.8 L
Published litres-per-day figures are laboratory comparison points. Your room temperature, humidity, airflow and duty cycle will change the result.

How the selector works
One condition across all four models.
The selector begins with the area being managed, moves the comparison up for repeated condensation or laundry, and gives additional weight to faster recovery. It does not use the model number as a promise of daily water removal.
The comparison uses Meaco's currently published extraction and power at 20°C / 60% RH. Cold-room figures are shown separately. Equal-hours electricity cost is deliberately not called an annual prediction because a higher-capacity model may reach its target sooner and cycle differently.
Before opening a retailer, read the exact-model profiles for all four Arete Two sizes. They add dimensions, drainage, filters, closest comparisons and the limits that do not fit inside a selector result.
For a general capacity band across different manufacturers, use the dehumidifier capacity helper. For a cold garage or other unheated area, use the compressor-versus-desiccant selector.
Questions before checkout
What the model number does not tell you.
Is the Arete Two 12L more expensive to run than the 10L?
Meaco currently publishes the same 136 W input for both models at 20°C and 60% RH, while publishing 5.40 L/day for the 12L and 4.19 L/day for the 10L at that condition. Actual duty cycle and household cost can still differ.
Should I buy the 20L or 25L Arete Two?
The 25L publishes higher extraction but also a higher input at 20°C and 60% RH. Compare the size of the managed area, moisture load, desired recovery time, noise and expected runtime rather than selecting the largest model automatically.
Does a 25L model collect 25 litres every day?
No. The model number is based on a rated test condition. Meaco currently publishes 10.85 L/day at 20°C and 60% RH for the 25L model, showing why the test condition matters.
Is an Arete Two suitable for a cold garage?
It is a compressor dehumidifier with a published operating range starting at 5°C, but extraction falls in colder conditions. Compare a desiccant model for a regularly cold or unheated space before buying.
